3. In contrast, spirit reacts in the same way to everything it knows is true, and does not respond at all to anything else.

❖ "In contrast, spirit reacts ~ "「対照的に、スピリットは、スピリットが真実だと思うすべてのことに同様な方法で反応する」。対照的にとは、前文でエゴが関連性のあるものに反応してそれを崩壊させていることと対照的に、ということ。"in the same way"は"in certain specific ways"のことで、エゴと同じように具象的な、具体的な方法をとる、ということ。"and does not respond ~ "「スピリットはその他のこと(真実でないこと)に反応はしない」。



Nor does it make any attempt to establish what is true. It knows that what is true is everything that God created.

❖ "Nor does it make ~ "「また、スピリットは、何が真実かということを確立しようと試みることはない」。"It knows that what ~ "「スピリットは真実なるものは神の創造したものすべてであることを知っている」。



It is in complete and direct communication with every aspect of creation, because it is in complete and direct communication with its Creator.

• complete [kəmplíːt] : 「完全な、全くの、徹底的な、全面的な」
• direct [dáirekt] : 「直接の、率直な、遠慮のない」
• in communication with : 「～と連絡を取って、～と通信して、～と連通している」
• every aspect of : 「～のすべての面、～のすべての局面」
  

❖ "It is in complete and ~ "「スピリットは創造されたもののすべての局面と完全で直接的なコミュニケーションをとっている」。"because it is in complete and ~ "「なぜならば、スピリットはその創造主と完全で直接的なコミュニケーションをとっているから」。



This communication is the will of God. Creation and communication are synonymous.

• synonymous [sinɑ́nəməs] : 「同意語の、同義の、同義語の、同義的な」

❖ "This communication is ~ "「このコミュニケーションは神の意思である」。"Creation and communication ~ "「創造とコミュニケーションは同義語である」。この世界では創造とコミュニケーションは全く別物のように知覚されるが、真実の世界である神の世界では創造もコミュニケーションも同じこと。コミュニケーションすることが直接創造につながる。おそらく、愛も同義語として認識され得るだろう。



God created every mind by communicating his mind to it, thus establishing it forever as a channel for the reception of his mind and will.

• reception [risép∫n] : 「受理、受信、受信率、受領、収容、聴取」

❖ "God created every mind by ~ "「神は～することですべての心を創造した」"by communicating his ~ "「神の心をすべての心にコミュニケートすることで」すべての心を創造した。"establishing it forever ~ "分詞構文、結果「このようにして、神は、すべての心が神の心とその意思を受信できるチャネルであるように、心を永遠に確立した」。



Since only beings of a like order can truly communicate, his creations naturally communicate with him and like him.

• order [ɔ́ː(r)də(r)] : 「順、順序、順番、順位、序列」
• naturally [nǽt∫(ə)rəli] : 「自然に、ありのままに、必然的に」
  

❖ "Since only beings of ~ "「同じような序列の存在体だけが真にコミュニケーションできるので」つまり、同じレベルのもの同士が自然なコミュニケーションをできるので、ということ。"his creations naturally communicate ~ "「神が創造したもの達は神と、あるいは神に似たものと自然なコミュニケーションができる」。



This communication is perfectly abstract, since its quality is universal in application and not subject to any judgment, any exception or any alteration.

• abstract [ǽbstrækt] : 「抽象的な、概念上の、理論的な、理論上の 」

• subject [səbdʒékt] : 「支配下にある、支配を受ける、支配を受けている、～に従属している」
• subject to : 「～にさらされている、～の影響を受けやすい、～を被りやすい」
• judgment [dʒʌ́dʒmənt] : 「判断、判断力、判決、審判、裁判」
• exception [iksép∫n] : 「例外、除外、異論、異議」
• alteration [ɔ̀ːltəréi∫n] : 「変更、改変、修正、改ざん」
  

❖ "This communication is ~ "「このコミュニケーションは完全に抽象的である」。"since its quality is universal ~ "「なぜなら、このコミュニケーションの特性は、普遍的に適用できるものであり、いかなる判断にもさらされることはないし、例外にも改ざんにもさらされることのないものである」。



God created you by this and for this. The mind can distort its function, but it cannot endow itself with functions it was not given.

• distort [distɔ́ː(r)t] : 「 ～を曲げる、変形させる、～をゆがめる、誤り伝える、歪曲する」
• endow [endáu] : 「授ける、与える、～に寄与する」
  

❖ "God created you by this ~ "「神はこれによって、またこのためにあなたを創造した」。"this"は"communication"ととらえていいだろう。以前、"Creation and communication are synonymous"と書かれてあるのでうなずける。"The mind can distort ~ "「心はその機能を歪めることはできるが、」"but it cannot endow itself ~ "「心は、与えもされていない機能をそれ自身に授けることはできない」。つまり、心は神が創造した通りの機能で十分なのだ、外から機能を付け加える必要はないし、できもしない、ということ。



That is why the mind cannot totally lose the ability to communicate, even though it may refuse to utilize it on behalf of being.
